FREE CLASS | 30 Days of Plotting
Do you get lost in the middle of messy manuscripts and then end up losing thousands of words? Do you never get to type The End?
Do you see the value of plotting, but just can’t (and don’t really want to) force your story into a rigid and often boring plan?
If you don’t want to plot and you don’t want to get lost again, but you do want to finish your book there is another solution.
We need to change the way we think about plotting.
Join us for the free class to learn more about the plotting challenge and to write a scene.
The class is at 11 am (SAST)

Hi there,
Just a quick note to say thank you for the excellent workshop on Monday as part of 30 Days of Plotting. It was great to have to opportunity to talk through issues, hear where other people are at and have your incredibly useful insights.
Also, a very big thank you for the freebies released in recent weeks, namely the PDF Method Workbook and classes and the Write Your Book In 30 Days. I really feel I am part of a community and, most importantly, that my writing is better for my involvement with Deadlines for Writers, so thank you.
Off to write some more scenes...

Hi Mia - just wanted to reply to tell you that I'm absolutely loving this 30-day prompt challenge. It is amazing how my long buried novel has finally been created and has flourished from the daily prompts. At times I've actually thought these prompts were personally selected for my murder mystery - they're that perfect a fit!
I have seen the story move, twist, and turn in ways I had never imagined before and I am discovering how forceful some of my characters can be!
This has definitely laid a solid foundation on which to build my novel.
Thank you very much for this creative opportunity.
Hi Mia
Just thought I'd touch base and say thank you for this challenge. I've now passed the halfway mark as I've just submitted Day 16. I must say it's been a lot harder than I thought it would be. And at the same time, it's been fun seeing a story unfolding as I go along. I only had a glimmer of something before I started. I've also found with the time limitation that I'm forced to make decisions and then just flow with it. I think that was something you mentioned as being necessary. And as a consequence, I'm finding some of the character's personalities and motivations are also changing - although they weren't strongly established in the first place. So, I guess that's the reality when we're making up the story as we go along and also getting to know our characters as we go along too.
Two more weeks to go...will be interesting to see where it takes me. Thanks again for the challenge. I know I wouldn't have come this far without it.
Continuing to show up...
